Sikalatex® CARD Application Instructions
- Surface preparation: Concrete surfaces need to be cleaned, made sure, free of grease, cement dust and impurities. The absorbent surface should be wet before use, but not allow water to stand.
- Bonding agent for old and new concrete screeds/bonds: Mix 4 kg of cement with 1 liter of Sikalatex® TH and 1 liter of water to create a slurry.
- Waterproofing floor plaster: Mix cement and sand in the ratio 1:3 and mix Sikalatex® TH with water in the ratio 1:3. Incorporate the Sikalatex® TH mixture into the cement and sand mixture until the required consistency is reached.
- Construction: Start applying waterproof mortar immediately after the connecting oil layer is still wet.
- Consumption density: 1 liter Sikalatex® TH/m² for a 2 cm thick screed.
- Cleaning: Clean tools and equipment immediately after application with clean water.
- Important Instructions: Always mix the cement into the Sikalatex® TH water mix to form a binder. Follow standard maintenance practices. Preserve the surface of the work always wet but do not let the water stagnate. In case of multi-layer application, be sure to apply the layer after the previous layer is still wet.
